Título: Al voltant dels origens de la industrialització valenciana

Resumen: Work (a comparison of the two main valencian textile sectors until the eighteenth century, drapery and silks) highlights the weakness of knowledge about the Valencia pre-capitalist industry. It follows an oversimplification of the explanations for the absence, delay or characteristics (according to different interpretations) of the Valencian industrialization. The tendency point to agriculture as responsible (for better or worse) is undoubtedly the most obvious of all. To know and understand the genesis of capitalist industry in Valencia therefore need to focus on some aspects underserved to date as the role of demand and flexible specialization in different sectors. In addition, the preferential analysis center must be the subordination process of labor to capital and the technical environment in which takes place, that question depends on the industrial dynamics itself and must be addressed with (local or sectorial) microanalytical scale.
